In June 2017, SLCB was awarded by Siemens to become the EPC contractor for the supply of a forced draft Air-Cooled Condensers (ACC) for the Kings Lynn plant in Great Britain.

SLCB got the order on the strength of their rich experience in ACC empowerment and refurbishment. With an output of 350 MWe, the plant has been working since 1996. The power
station is equipped with a Hamon-Lummus ACC, and the main task for us is extension of the dry cooling capacity as well as refurbishment of the running ACC.

SLCB scope is as follows:
-Engineering and delivery
-Empowering of the running system with new drive units
-Delivery of extension one street
-Four modules with low noise Howden SX fans
-Meeting noise emission target of 92 db(A) at design operating conditions
-Operational integration of new street into the existing system (old ACC)
-Commissioning and training

Initially start of erection was planned in March 2018. SLCB expects an extension
of about two months. The commissioning will take place in October 2018.
After commissioning, general contractor Siemens will empower the combined cycle
gas turbine power station plant to generate a total capacity of 382 MWe.
